Why It’s a Great Idea to Plant in Winter
Eremophila glabra prostrate (EREM1) Blue Horizon™ is a tough, fast-spreading native groundcover valued for its dense silvery-blue foliage and beautiful violet-purple flowers. Perfect for modern landscapes, native gardens, and erosion control, this hardy, low-maintenance plant provides year-round coverage and seasonal bursts of colour.
Produces masses of violet to deep purple tubular flowers from spring through summer, with spot flowering at other times. The nectar-rich blooms attract bees, butterflies, and nectar-feeding birds, making it ideal for wildlife-friendly gardens.
Features striking silvery-blue foliage with a soft, velvety texture that forms a dense, weed-suppressing carpet, creating a stunning contrast to the vivid flowers.
Occasionally develops small, woody seed capsules typical of Eremophilas but not considered ornamental.
