Description:
Gaura Baby Butterflies™ Rose is a delightful compact perennial featuring masses of dainty pink flowers that resemble fluttering butterflies. Specially bred for smaller gardens and containers, it offers long flowering performance, a neat habit, and excellent tolerance to heat and dry conditions, making it a standout in Australian landscapes.
Flowers:
Soft rose-pink blooms appear in abundance from spring through autumn. Held on slender stems above the foliage, the flowers move gracefully with the wind, adding a dynamic and whimsical element to the garden.
Foliage:
Finely textured green foliage forms a tidy, compact mound. The foliage provides a fresh, soft base that enhances the floral display.

Not significant.
Form and Size:
Compact, clump-forming habit growing approximately 30–40 cm high and wide.
Growing Conditions:
Thrives in full sun to part shade. Prefers well-drained soil and is highly tolerant of heat and light frosts. Once established, it is drought-hardy and performs well in both sandy and clay soils with good drainage.
Uses:
Perfect for borders, garden beds, pots, rockeries, and mass planting. An excellent choice for waterwise and pollinator-friendly gardens. Also ideal for small-space gardening and low-maintenance landscape designs.
Maintenance:
Low-maintenance. Trim back spent flower stems to encourage continued blooming. Cut back hard in late winter to early spring for fresh new growth. Apply a general-purpose slow-release fertiliser annually.
Notes:
Reliable and floriferous, this compact variety is ideal for both modern and cottage-style gardens. Loved for its graceful movement and long flowering season.
Companion Plants:
Looks beautiful alongside Lavandula, Scaevola, Salvia, Euphorbia 'Diamond Frost', and ornamental grasses like Pennisetum or Festuca.

Where are our plants Grown and how do we grow them
- Plants are grown locally on the Sunshine Coast
- All outdoor plants are sun hardened and ready to grow
- Indoor plants are grown under 50% Shade and will transfer perfectly to indoor use
- Orchids are also grown under 50% Shade and are best brought indoors during flowering for show then returned back into a shaded area until the following flowering time
- we are Qualified horticulturists, greenkeeper as well as Qualified landscape Construction with over 35 years experience in the industry. We use Quality products and materials to grow all our plants.

How to Look after your plants like we do
- When using any Garden Care products or Fertilisers we always recommend reading the label before use
- We recommend using Earthlife crushed rock mineral on all plants when planting in the ground or in Pots.
- When planting in Pots in Our garden centre we use Rocky Point potting mixes to plant all our plants
- If planting in the ground we also recommend that you use Rocky Point garden soil around your plants at the time of planting
