Why Native Plants Are Great Plants to Grow in Your Garden
Lomandra 'Ocean' is a hardy Australian native grass featuring lush blue-green foliage and a naturally compact, arching habit. Selected for its excellent landscape performance, it provides year-round colour and texture while thriving in a wide range of growing conditions. Highly drought tolerant once established and well suited to coastal environments, Lomandra 'Ocean' is ideal for mass planting, borders, commercial landscapes, streetscapes and low-maintenance home gardens.
Cream to pale yellow fragrant flower spikes appear during spring and early summer, adding subtle seasonal interest and attracting beneficial insects.
Soft blue-green strap-like foliage forms a dense, tidy clump with an attractive cascading appearance that remains evergreen throughout the year.
Small seed capsules may develop after flowering but are generally insignificant in ornamental plantings.
Compact clumping evergreen grass.
Height: Approximately 60–80cm

Requires very little maintenance. Remove spent flower stems as required and trim back older foliage every few years to encourage fresh growth. Feed with a slow-release fertiliser during spring if desired.
Lomandra 'Ocean' is valued for its attractive blue-green foliage, compact habit and exceptional toughness. It performs reliably in difficult sites including coastal gardens and exposed landscapes, making it an excellent choice for both residential and commercial projects.
