Scaevola aemula 'Aussie Salute Blue' is a hardy, low-growing Australian native ground cover that produces a profusion of vibrant blue fan-shaped flowers over an extended flowering season. Its dense, spreading habit makes it an excellent choice for garden borders, rockeries, hanging baskets, retaining walls and containers. Heat tolerant and low maintenance, this colourful native performs exceptionally well in Sunshine Coast gardens.
Produces masses of striking blue fan-shaped flowers from spring through to autumn, with flowering often continuing for much of the year in warmer climates. The blooms attract native bees and other beneficial pollinators.
Small, bright green foliage forms a dense mat, providing year-round colour and an attractive backdrop to the abundant flowers.
Produces small, inconspicuous fruits following flowering, which are not considered an ornamental feature.

Aussie Salute Blue is an excellent low-maintenance native for adding long-lasting colour to the garden. Its spreading habit suppresses weeds, softens garden edges and provides a reliable display of flowers for much of the year.
Looks fantastic planted with Lomandra, Dianella, Grevillea, Westringia, Myoporum, Carpobrotus, Kangaroo Paw (Anigozanthos) and other Australian native ground covers and shrubs.
