Why It’s a Great Idea to Plant in Winter
Syzygium ‘Resilience’ is a hardy, fast-growing Australian native shrub highly regarded for its dense evergreen foliage and glossy appearance. Bred for improved disease resistance, particularly against psyllid attack, this variety is ideal for creating formal hedges, screening, and privacy barriers in residential and commercial landscapes.
Produces clusters of fluffy white flowers during summer, which are followed by attractive small pinkish-red berries, adding ornamental interest and attracting birds to the garden.
Features glossy, dark green leaves with attractive bronze new growth that creates a vibrant contrast throughout the seasons. Psyllid-resistant, making it a low-maintenance option for pristine hedges.
Forms small, pink to red berries after flowering, providing additional colour and food for native birds.
A dense, upright shrub typically growing to around 3–4 m high and 2 m wide, but can be pruned to shape as required.
